Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist® (RSPS)
The Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) is an education-based certification program. Launched in 2006, the RSPS Certification was created by the National Association of REALTORS® to better serve the growing second-home and resort real estate market and now has over 1,300 elite members. RSPS is recognized as an official NAR certification and allows buyers and sellers to have confidence in the ability of a REALTOR® who specializes in resort and second-homes to assist them with their search.
Accredited Buyer Representative® (ABR)
The Accredited Buyer Representative ABR® designation is only awarded to licensed real estate professionals who complete specialized training that gives them the edge in understanding a buyer’s perspective and protecting and promoting their buyer-clients’ interests. Before earning the ABR® designation, buyer’s reps must also demonstrate proven experience in representing buyers. Further, they are committed to maintaining their professional edge by staying current on the latest issues and trends in buyer representation. When you work with an ABR®, you’ll be served, not sold. Seniors Real Estate Specialists® (SRES)
Seniors Real Estate Specialists® or SRES® designees are REALTORS® qualified to address the needs of home buyers and sellers age 50+. The SRES® Council awards the SRES® Designation to those members who have successfully completed its education program.
By earning the SRES® Designation, your REALTOR® has demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Your SRES® has received special training, gets regular updates, and is prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life changing decisions.
Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE)
A Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) has a thorough understanding of complex issues in today’s turbulent real estate industry and knowledge of foreclosure avoidance options available to homeowners. CDPEs can provide solutions, specifically short sales, for homeowners facing market hardships.

Through comprehensive training and experience, SFR REALTORS® are able to provide solutions for homeowners facing hardships in today’s market, specifically if you are in a distressed or negative-equity situation.

Certified Short Sale Negotiator® (CSSN)
The Certified Short Sale Negotiator (CSSN) is verification that a REALTOR® has taken the initiative to become an educated and prepared advocate on the behalf of a homeowner in distress. Earned by completing a comprehensive curriculum via the Real Estate Negotiation Institute, a Division of Negotiation Expertise LLC, real estate agents with the CSSN designation are equipped with the expertise and training to understand and satisfy each parties need in the short sale system.
Transnational Referral Certification® (TRC)
The Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) was developed to help real estate professionals better serve clients and customers who are looking to buy or sell real property outside their own country and who will benefit from working with a real estate professional in that foreign market. TRC certified real estate professionals are trained not only in the mechanics of cross-border client referrals, but also in how to work in the client’s best interests in the same manner they would a domestic client. All TRCs adhere to a national professional code of conduct.
